Prof. Solomon Olakunle Bilewu

Water Resources & Environmental Engineering
Dr. S. O. Bilewu is a registered Engineer and a commonwealth doctoral scholar. Prior to joining the University of Ilorin, he has been in private engineering practice where he has been involved with the study, design and supervision of various engineering projects. As a lecturer in the department of Water Resources and environmental Engineering, he is committed to human development, community services and educating people about water mismanagement that endangers the environment. His research interest is in public health engineering and the application of hydrology to meet human needs through access to potable water, irrigation and drainage and hydropower.
He is an associate professor and has served as head of department, faculty representative on different academic boards and coordinator of the university based National Water Resources Capacity Building Network of the National Water Resources Institute.
